Our family here at Soldier City Spirits came from and still work in the first responder field. Some are retired after 30 years, however one of the CEOs is still employed in this field. I grew up alongside my father doing furniture restoration / woodwork. Once retired our family opened a full-time wood working business in St. Cloud, FL specializing in hand crafted furniture and restoration. In 2021 when Covid came along our business was mostly forced to close its doors. We continued on the woodworking journey in our home making cocktail smokers to sell at small market events. We reached out to our son to formulate a timeless, early recipe for an Old Fashioned drink that we could use to highlight our smokers at our events. This is how Truitt’s Old Fashioned began. At events we were blessed with so many compliments and people asking where they could purchase this drink from that we chose to endeavor on the path to bottle this drink. Fast forward to current date, we were able to team up with Artifact Spirits in Winter Park who guided us along the way and aided us in bottling this absolutely amazing ready to drink old fashioned.

This led to the creation of Soldier City Spirits. Being born in Saint Cloud, FL we chose the name Soldier City Spirits. Most do not know that the City of St.Cloud, FL was formerly known as Soldier City prior to being named Saint Cloud in the early 1900’s. This was our inspiration for naming the company after our family history and background.
